Bike Challenge Winners 5th Year Running
Jasmax clocked up over 10,900 km on our bikes this February and saved over 1,100 kg of CO2, competing in a month-long bike challenge organised by Auckland Transport and the New Zealand Transport Agency.
The Aotearoa Bike Challenge encourages participation, with workplaces collecting points for distance, the most staff getting on their bikes and the most encouragers in the workplace. The idea is to encourage people to discover how easy and enjoyable riding a bike can be. All it takes for people to participate is enrolling and riding a bike for 10 minutes or more.
We won the top spot in the Auckland Bike Challenge for the fifth year running and came 9th nationwide in our category, with 56 registered riders who took their bikes for a spin at least once.
A special mention to Architect Elsa Benjamin, who rode 713 km during the challenge. A tireless encourager, Elsa supports staff to get on their bikes both during the Bike Challenge and year-round.
We love to get behind the challenge and hope this encourages staff to keep riding. Well done to all involved!
