The University of Canterbury have created a great video tour of their new Ernest Rutherford Building. It’s tells you a lot about what’s going on in the building, and gives some great visuals of the building’s innovative design.
Jasmax Principal Stephen Middleton led the design team in conjunction with DJRD and Royal Architects. It’s a showcase development for the University of Canterbury, and at 6 storeys and 20,000 sqm, it’s the largest of the University’s rebuild following the 2012 quakes and caters for undergrads to post graduate and beyond.
“The enjoyable part of this project is its complexity. The building brings all science disciplines together, providing generalist and specialist spaces for everything from social collaborative learning spaces to high end Antarctica research.” Stephen Middleton.
