Jasmax is proud to announce our appointment as the lead designer for the New Zealand Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Our architecture team will be leading the multi-disciplinary design consortium which consists of Special Group, as the team’s creative storytellers, and Mott MacDonald, providing engineering services.
The international Expo will bring more than 180 countries together around the theme of 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future' in Dubai in 2020. An established and respected global event, the Expo supports cross-country communication and outreach across economy, science and industry. It's a key opportunity for countries to boost reputations and strengthen international relationships. The Jasmax architecture team will be led by Principals Matthew Glubb and Tim Hooson. Tim comments:
“The opportunity to work with the Expo 2020 team to represent New Zealand on this international stage is incredible. For all involved, these projects don’t come along every day, and I think I’m fair in saying, that we all see this as a valuable opportunity to both represent New Zealand’s inspiringly unique culture and values, and increase our country’s reputation for economic and trade capability, on the world stage.”
Expo 2020 is a 6 month event from October 2020 to April 2021. For more information, click here.
