We’re pleased to announce that Sjoerd Post has been appointed as Jasmax’s new Chief Executive.

Sjoerd, an executive with over 30 years’ experience in leadership positions globally, joins Jasmax in mid-September.

Sjoerd’s appointment signals a realignment of strategy and vision for Jasmax as we near our sixth decade in operation. He has a keen focus on culture, performance and social impact, “Contributing to cityscapes and environments that people of all walks of life enjoy being in is as important a mission as any organisation may have…I look forward to assisting in the next stage of the journey of Jasmax at such an important time in New Zealand’s urban development.”

Sjoerd’s international experience includes leadership positions at both Shell International Trading Company and as CEO at NZX-listed Refining New Zealand. In speaking about his appointment, Jasmax Chair Karen Price, commented “Sjoerd’s strong business focus will bring analytical rigour to this highly creative business. His values align with Jasmax’s keen social commitment. It is an exciting pairing for the future of the business and its clients.”

Sjoerd assumes the newly shaped role of Chief Executive from former Managing Principal, Marko den Breems. Marko, who resigned from the role after six years, led the strategic direction of the firm, governance and operations through what has been New Zealand’s largest construction boom. Marko leaves Jasmax after 24 years to take an extended break with his family and travel, before looking to explore new governance and business leadership opportunities.

Friends and colleagues at Jasmax thank Marko for his considerable contribution and wish him well in his new endeavours.
