Vodafone’s InnoV8 precinct was officially opened by Prime Minister John Key on Wednesday 27 July.
The new office building, designed by Jasmax, is the anchor tenancy in the city’s new Innovation Precinct. The 75,000 sq. foot, Southern headquarters, are one of Vodafone’s most technologically-enabled workplace environments for the global telecoms organisation.
The architectural and interior intent for the building is to both support and facilitate mobile working within a distinctly Vodafone environment. Vodafone’s CEO Russell Stanners comments, “InnoV8 has been designed in a way that inspires and enables people to achieve more through mobile technology.
“We are committed to Christchurch and this building demonstrates our participation in the rejuvenation of the community, and the city’s future potential as a technology innovation hub of the South Pacific.
“Having technology-enabled work practices, and environments that bring people together for enhanced idea sharing and collaboration, is the future for more productive teams and ultimately results in better business.”
Members of the Jasmax architectural and interior design team were invited along to the opening, enjoying the opportunity to see the building busy with people.
