Jasmax recently welcomed a group of senior students from Massey High School as part of a job taster series we're running from our Auckland studio. Massey High was the third school this year to take part in the series, following visits from St Kentergen College and Avondale College.

This is a great opportunity for students to see first-hand the inner workings of an architecture and design practice on a day-to-day basis. As part of this showcase, a small team within Jasmax have devised a three day programme which exposes the students to the practical application of architecture and design by focusing on a live project within the practice.

As part of this, the students participate in site visits, designing, drawing and crit sessions with senior architects. They also have the opportunity to speak with a range of representatives from different sectors within the practice in order to gain a broader perspective of the profession. This may be across disciplines (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture or urban design), or sectors; from commercial application, to our healthcare, education or residential teams.
