Andrew Grant

Andrew Grant is a Project Director with over 35 years’ architectural experience. Since joining Jasmax in 2008, Andrew has specialised in education projects. His rich experience has seen him deliver innovative secondary schools and individual learning blocks that have marked significant moments in the development of learning environments in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Andrew enjoys the challenge of melding the diverse factors that bring about new schools; the pedagogical, physical, social, technical, aesthetic and economic circumstances that all require consideration. Along with the collaborative work to harness the collective knowledge and insights of the design and consultant teams, and the client.

To keep pace with global thinking in the education design sector, Andrew reads broadly, attends LENZ conferences and participates in Ministry of Education workshops.

He is committed to sustainable design. One of the projects he led as Project Architect, Ormiston Senior College, achieved the first 5‑star NZGBC school design rating in Aotearoa New Zealand.
