“My job is to give my clients the very best experience. Truly listening and approaching each project with empathy, individuality and insight, then interpreting this spatially, is something I take pride in. I don't have a house-style and enjoy offering bespoke solutions that are mutually satisfying. Design is my passion, equally so is building relationships; I believe trust and respect are essential to every alliance.”

Tessa Pawson is a Senior Interior Designer within Jasmax’s Workplace team. She has 15 years’ industry experience, both in Australia and New Zealand, managing interior design teams specialising in hotel, hospitality and office fitouts. She also has considerable experience in high end multi-residential and retirement projects.

Her passion for commercial design has had many influences throughout her career, as a lighting consultant for ECC, a production designer for TVNZ as well as designing high end Interiors in Melbourne and New Zealand. Tessa has also attended Salone del Mobile in Milan for the last 2 years, drawing inspiration from the cutting-edge designs, installations and materials that feature as part of design week

Tessa is valued on projects for her positive attitude, leadership and creating a great team environment. She is also able to coordinate other design disciplines and consultants to get the best result for her clients and is skilled in producing concept designs and customising individual solutions.

Tessa was a key part of recent award-winning projects while at Peddle Thorp including; TRG Imaging in Milford, Property Council Award of Excellence in 2016 and Caro’s Wines Grey Lynn, Gold Pin, 2016 Best Awards and 2017 Interior Award Finalist and Peddle Thorp’s Britomart Precinct studio, Interior Architecture Winner, 2017 Auckland NZIA Awards, 2017 Interior Awards, Emerging Design Professional Finalist, Silver Pin Winner Best Awards.

“In my career, I have been fortunate to work on projects at every scale, in most sectors. Using innovative and unique materials, slaving over a detail or having a floor-plan suddenly 'sing' are all exciting drivers in my daily work. The most rewarding outcomes are where creative thinking is required to overcome project constraints.”
