Meiling Honson

Associate Principal Meiling Honson is a key member of Jasmax’s education team. Her experience as a registered architect has seen her build an impressive portfolio of local and international projects.

Meiling has extensive experience across various project typologies and sectors, including large-scale high-rise residential, civic, educational, healthcare and retail projects.

After graduating from the University of New South Wales, Meiling worked in Sydney before moving to Shanghai. Interested in designing in one of the world’s most populous cities, Meiling took up opportunities to work with HASSELL, RMJM and Perkins Eastman, where she focused on large-scale education projects.

In 2016, Meiling returned to Aotearoa New Zealand and joined Jasmax’s Auckland studio. As the Project Architect for the award-winning Western Springs College Ngā Puna o Waiōrea redevelopment, Meiling cemented her skills as a knowledgeable leader and a talented designer of flexible educational environments.

Meiling is a reliable, generous leader, having run large-scale project teams from concept to completion. Her goal is to continue to deliver innovative, culturally rich projects that provide value to the communities they serve.
