Rameka Tuinukuafe

Architectural Graduate - Senior Associate

An Associate and Architectural Graduate within Jasmax, Rameka has a specific focus on integrating cultural design in built projects. His recent experience includes Tuhoe’s landmark tribal headquarters, Te Uru Taumatua, and a number of projects that are utilising the Te Aranga Maori Design Principles. In addition, Rameka is leading an internal project in the ongoing education of Jasmax in tikanga Maori; which has led to the successful establishment of a practice waiata and whakatau process for manuhiri.

Rameka’s main motivation for pursuing a career in architecture and design is to integrate a grounded post-indigenous approach to design, which positively challenges the architecture and design profession to find new and exciting ways to engage with the world.
