This year we’re celebrating our 50th birthday, and like most our age, we’ve got a story or two to share. Like the time we went to Antarctica, or when we designed the tallest building in Wellington. These are the stories that give shape to our practice. And while our work spans countries, disciplines and decades, we remain committed (and united) by our shared ideas, values and beliefs.
The JASMaD co-founders sought to establish a culture within the practice that would continually inform our design outlook and yet still maintain an aesthetic freedom. And it is the culture of prioritising the user experience, placing people at the centre of everything we do, that persists in the design of our projects today.
Jasmax continues to have an emphasis on seeking and nurturing emerging design potential, and encouraging thought-leadership and diverse opinion. So it should be no surprise that to celebrate our 50th year, we’re running a video competition (with a $5000 cash prize!) that asks entrants to capture how they see people interacting with architecture in their everyday lives.
