BNZ Quay Park

Interior Design

BNZ Quay Park is one of BNZ’s offices located within Auckland’s city fringe. In undertaking this project, the design team were challenged to consolidate operational business units from various properties across Auckland to this location.

The concept for BNZ’s Quay Park office was to create a workplace that acts as a business enabler – using good design to promote better business practices. To do this, the physical environment is intentionally open and

transparent, with the idea that this visibility and transparency add energy and dynamism to the workplace and promotes better communication.

An internal interconnecting stair reflects the desire for connectivity and interaction between business units, removing silos and enhancing flexibility in the workplace. This concept is further supported by the innovative use of an intelligent security system, which minimises the physical barriers to the flow of people through the building.

Overall, this project is a powerful demonstration of how design can support business objectives. By removing the barriers, the design team have created a culture of collaboration and sharing. The project also achieved a 5 Green Star rating for Office Interiors, further reinforcing BNZ's commitment to sustainable business practices.
